Happy Small Business Saturday!

We are going LIVE on Instagram today at 11am EST. If you missed out, keep reading to learn five things to know about Cape Clasp.

American Express started Small Business Saturday as a way to boost sales and recognition for small businesses across the country. This is an important cause since small businesses like us operate with small teams and lean budgets, and every customer counts!

To celebrate the day, here are 5 Things to know about Cape Clasp:

  1. Cape Cod is close to our hearts

If you’ve ever been to Cape Cod, you know how beautiful of a place it is. With more than 500 miles of coastline, countless ponds, and dense forests filled with wildlife, it has something for any nature lover. Protecting this place is near and dear to our hearts, which is why we started the Cape Clasp brand. In fact, our entire team has either spent time living on or visiting Cape Cod!

  1. The Original Cape Clasp started off a geocaching prize

We never expected Cape Clasp to grow into the purpose-driven brand that it is today. In fact, when we first started making The Original Cape Clasp bracelets in 2013, we were hiding them in geocaches across Cape Cod. We began to realize the potential of the brand when we started to get requests to buy the Cape Cod-shaped bracelets, and immediately knew we wanted to use it as a chance to give back to the community that had given us so much.

  1. We donate to marine life causes

We donate 15% of profits from every design to a related nonprofit organization that is protecting marine life, something we couldn’t do without the support of our customers.

  1. We put thought into where we source our products

We take pride in offering high-quality, handmade products for our customers. All of our bracelets are made in the US and hand-tied in our Boston and Cape Cod offices. Our brand-new Make Waves and Only You tees are made with fiber from recycled plastic bottles and screen printed on Cape Cod with eco-friendly inks.

  1. We have big plans for the future

2018 has been a big year for us. We launched new products, expanded into rings and apparel, and welcomed new non-profit partners. But, we have even bigger plans for 2019. We’re excited to launch an entirely new product in the beginning of the year that promises to make even bigger waves for marine life, so stay tuned!
