Saturday, April 17: Park Rx Day (Fee Free Day)
Explore a park for free, it’s Doctor’s Orders! Enjoy the benefits, both physical and mental that can be experienced in national parks. Have fun!
Sunday, April 18: Volunteer Day
A day to recognize the National Park Service VIPs (Volunteers-In-Parks)! Thousands of people volunteer at national parks each year from all different walks of life. Volunteer Day is all about celebrating their contributions!
Monday, April 19: Military Monday
Many national parks have direct connections to the American military, with dozens of battlefields, military parks and historic sites incorporated into landscapes. The National Park Service will be honoring our military service members on Monday 4/19!
Tuesday, April 20: Transformation Tuesday
Nature, history and opportunities at the national parks and the communities they work with are ever changing. Explore transformations of parks in your own neighborhood through their programs and partnerships!
Wednesday, April 21: Wayback Wednesday
Wayback Wednesday is focused on the past, and how the National Park Service preserves historic heritage and cultural treasures in both the parks and communities that surround them.
Thursday, April 22: Earth Day
A global celebration ensues on Earth Day each year, and the National Park Service is no exception. They will be encouraging education and stewardship of the planet’s natural resources and sharing information about connected conservation to fit this year's theme of “Restore Our Earth”.
Friday, April 23: Friendship Friday
A day to recognize the friends and partners of the National Park System! Highlighting the individuals, groups and organizations that help create a community that is driven by passion for nature. We are so honored to be included in their vast list of partners this year, too!
Saturday, April 24: National Junior Ranger Day
The National Park Service has an amazing Junior Ranger Program, which allows kids to “explore, learn, and protect”. Kids can take part in a virtual national park experience filled with fun activities that include discovering virtual badges and taking virtual tours in parks all across the country.
Sunday, April 25: BARK Ranger Day
One of our favorite days of National Park Week! BARK Ranger Day highlights that our furry friends can become a member of the BARK Ranger pack. To join, all you have to do is model the best practices when visiting: Bag your pet’s waste, Always leash your pet, Respect wildlife and Know where you can go, BARK!
